Tommos and Proposify, side by side#
We took each Proposify cell from Proposify’s own pages on Oct 8, 2026; the number after a cell names the page.

One inquiry, from the first email to the signed SOW#
A made-up sale, the same in both columns: a 7-person design and build agency, and a software company that writes through the form on its site. The plan that does each step in Tommos is in brackets.
- 1
The reply and the callBook
Tommo SDR drafts the reply in your voice with two questions and two or three open times from your Google Calendar. You see it as a card: send, change or skip. With Proposify, this step lives in your inbox and your CRM.
- 2
- 3
The proposalClose
Your estimate says 10 weeks at $64,000. Tommo Closer writes the proposal as an email with those numbers and the points the client raised on the call. When the estimate is missing, it asks you. In Proposify you open a template, paste the call notes, prompt the AI for the scope section, fill the pricing table and send.2 Proposify tells you which pages the client reads.4
- 4
The SOW and their MSASign
The client says yes and sends their MSA. Tommo Legal reads it against your positions on liability, payment, IP and law, and drafts your SOW from your template as a Google Doc in the client’s folder in your Drive. You take or change each point, and Tommo Closer sends the client the link. In Proposify you fill a contract template; the review of their MSA is your reading, or your lawyer’s.7
- 5
Signed and paidSign
In Proposify the client e-signs and can pay through Stripe in the same document.1, 8 In Tommos, when a person you allow to sign presses Sign, your signature goes on the PDF, and the client signs their own way. Once the deal is won, Tommo Closer reads the signed paper, proposes the payment schedule, and proposes each invoice through Mercury when it is due.
Each card waits for you until you let a tommo send that kind of email on its own. After twelve approvals in a row of one kind with nothing to fix, the tommo asks; you switch it on per form, on a paid plan. A signature always needs a person’s press.

What five people pay in a year#
The arithmetic from the public price pages, read Oct 8, 2026, billed yearly. Taxes are left out. A year, 5 people.
| What | Tommos Close | Tommos Sign | Proposify Build | Proposify Grow |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plan | $479 × 12 = $5,748 | $719 × 12 = $8,628 | 5 × $420 = $2,1001 | $3,900, 5 seats included1 |
| What you get | The reply, the call, the recap, the proposal from your estimate, follow-ups | Close, plus your SOW and NDA from your templates, the client's MSA read, and invoices through Mercury | Designed proposals, a content library, AI writing, e-signature, integrations1 | Build, plus approval workflows, roles and API access1 |
| A CRM | Included | Included | Bought apart56 | Bought apart56 |
| Who writes each email and proposal | Tommo SDR and Tommo Closer; you decide | Same, plus Tommo Legal on the paper | You2 | You2 |
| Each person you add, a year | $0 | $0 | $4201 | $7801 |
Proposify prices the document tool. Tommos prices the work on the deal, with the CRM in the price. In Proposify you write each reply, recap, prompt and follow-up yourself. In Tommos the tommos write them from the call and your estimate, on Sign the SOW and the contract memo too, and you decide. Proposify grows by seat and counts sends each month1; Tommos grows by plan and by new leads a month, and people add nothing.
After your first payment you have 30 days to get all of it back with one press in Billing.
Why services firms pick Tommos for the proposal#
- The proposal goes out while the call is fresh. Tommo Closer reads the transcript itself and writes the proposal from your estimate the same day. Nobody pastes notes or writes a prompt. It never invents a price, a scope or a date.
- The deal moves between documents too. Tommo SDR answers the inquiry and books the call, Tommo Closer follows up until there is a yes or a no, and on Sign Tommo Legal reads the client’s MSA and drafts your SOW.
- One record from inquiry to signed contract. The email thread, the call, the proposal, the paper and the invoice live on one deal, so there is no CRM to sync.
- One price for the firm. No seats: a partner or a delivery lead joins at no cost.

A services company runs its own sales on Tommos#
PFLB, the load testing firm where Tommos began, has run its inbound sale on three tommos since August 20, 2026. In seven weeks the tommos wrote 65 emails to 21 people, each sent on a person’s yes, and booked 10 meetings: see each count on PFLB’s page.
Keep Proposify for the signature, if your clients sign there#
One step crosses over: the final paper, once per deal. Tommos writes the emails and the papers, you decide each one, and Proposify collects the signature.1
- 1
Tommos writes.
Tommo Closer sends the recap and the proposal. On Sign, Tommo Legal drafts the SOW as a Google Doc, and you and the client edit the same document.
- 2
You upload the final paper to Proposify.
Download the agreed Google Doc as a PDF and create a new Proposify document from it; Proposify takes a PDF of up to 20 pages and 6 MB.10
- 3
The client signs in Proposify.
Put the signed copy in the client's folder in your Drive, where Tommos looks for it. If it reaches you as a file in an email on the deal, Tommo Legal keeps it in that folder itself (Sign).
- 4
Tommos gets it paid.Sign
Mark the deal won. Tommo Closer reads the signed paper and proposes the payment schedule on a card. When it cannot find the terms, it asks you.
The deal and its history live in Tommos; the signing record lives in Proposify.
Questions Proposify users ask#
- Is there a Proposify alternative that writes the proposal from the sales call?
- Tommos (tommos.ai) is a CRM whose AI agent, Tommo Closer, reads the call's transcript and writes the proposal as an email from your estimate, then follows up until there is a decision. It never invents a price, a scope or a date; when the estimate is missing, it asks you. If your clients sign in Proposify, keep it for the signature.
- Doesn't Proposify have AI too?
- Yes. Proposify's AI drafts and rewrites sections such as the executive summary and the scope after you paste call notes or a transcript into the editor and write a prompt, per Proposify's AI proposal generator page, read on October 8, 2026. In Tommos nobody pastes or prompts: Tommo Closer reads the transcript and the estimate on the deal and writes the proposal, the recap and the follow-ups.
- Do I still need Proposify?
- For the writing, no: Tommos writes the proposal, the SOW and the follow-ups, and reads the client's MSA. Its proposals are emails and its papers are Google Docs; it has no designed-page editor. Keep Proposify if your clients expect a designed proposal page or a signing link, which Proposify's pricing page lists, read on October 8, 2026.
- How does the client sign?
- Tommos has no e-signature service of its own. When a person you allow to sign presses Sign, Tommos places your signature on the PDF. Your client signs their own way, in Proposify, DocuSign or on paper. Put the signed copy in the client's folder in your Drive, and on Sign Tommo Closer invoices from it through Mercury.
- Can Tommos write a statement of work?
- Yes, on the Sign plan. Tommo Legal drafts the SOW as a Google Doc from your own template, with the scope, price and dates from your estimate. Without an estimate there is no SOW: it asks you for one.
- How is Tommos priced next to Proposify?
- Proposify Build is $35 a user a month billed yearly, or $49 month to month; Grow is $325 a month billed yearly with five seats, and each seat after that is $780 a year, per Proposify's pricing page, read on October 8, 2026. Tommos is $299, $599 or $899 a month for the whole firm, with the CRM and the AI model included and no seats. Proposals start on Close, $599.
- Can I get my money back?
- Yes. In the 30 days after your first payment you can take all of it back with one press in Billing. Proposify's pricing page says it does not offer refunds once a payment is processed, read on October 8, 2026.
- Which call recordings does Tommo Closer read?
- Transcripts from Granola, or files in a Google Drive folder you name. A Zoom or Teams call works once its transcript lands in that folder.
- What do I need to start?
- A Google Workspace account: the tommos write from your Gmail, book on your Google Calendar with a Meet link and keep papers in your Drive. Outlook is not supported yet.
