A CRM for consultants that writes the reply, the recap and the proposal

Your next engagement is already in your inbox, waiting for an hour you do not have. Tommos (tommos.ai) is a CRM whose AI agents, the tommos, do that sales work while you deliver: the first reply and the call booked the same day, the recap and the proposal from your estimate while the call is fresh, and the client’s MSA read against your terms. One price whatever the size of your firm, from $299 a month. You approve every email until you choose otherwise, from your phone between client meetings.

14 days of everything, no card.

Three places a consulting deal goes cold#

An example engagement (the consultant and the client are made up): a fractional CFO, and a 40-person logistics company that needs its month-end close fixed. The numbers are the consultant’s own, from their estimate. The plan that does each step is in brackets.

  1. 1

    The replyBook

Monday, 10:40 AM. You are in a board prep session for a client. Dana, the CEO of Ridgeline Freight, writes through the form on your site: «Our close takes 19 days and the bank wants monthly statements. Can we talk this week?» The form offers her times on the spot. If she does not pick one, Tommo SDR writes back in your voice with two questions about her books and three times that are open on your Google Calendar. The card: the reply, with Send, Change and Skip. You press Send at the break. If Dana goes quiet, Tommo SDR follows up inside her working hours.

  2. 2

    The proposalClose

Thursday, the discovery call on Google Meet. You talk; Tommo Closer reads the transcript. After the call the recap waits for you: the 19-day close, the bank’s covenant, QuickBooks and three spreadsheets, Dana and her controller decide, your proposal comes Monday. Your estimate says a 12-week finance operations engagement at $24,000, then $6,500 a month. Tommo Closer puts those numbers into the proposal. It never invents a price, a scope or a date; when the estimate is missing, it asks you. The card: the recap, then the proposal, each with Send, Change and Skip. If Dana goes silent after the proposal, Tommo Closer follows up until there is a decision: a yes, or a no with its reason on the record.

  3. 3

    The paperSign

Dana’s lawyer sends Ridgeline’s MSA as a Word file. Tommo Legal reads it against your positions (the terms you set once on its page: liability, payment, IP, governing law) and marks what departs from them. Its memo is research, not legal advice. It finds three: liability uncapped, net 60, no use of the client’s name as a reference. The card: the marked-up MSA and the memo. You strike the first two and keep the third. Tommo Legal drafts the SOW from your template in your Drive, and you sign. When you work on your own engagement letter instead of the client’s paper, Tommo Legal drafts it from your template the same way.

Sending on its own is off. After twelve approvals in a row of one kind of email with nothing to fix, a tommo asks for it. You switch it on per form, on a paid plan, and switch it off the same way.

How to follow up on a proposal without chasing it yourself#

You send the proposal, the client goes quiet, and the follow-up you meant to send on Friday goes out the next Wednesday, or never. Tommo Closer follows up on silence until the deal is decided, in your voice, using only what the record holds, and it answers the client’s questions as they come. You approve each email, or let it send that kind on its own after twelve clean approvals. When the answer is no, the reason goes on the record, so next quarter you know why you lost.

For fractional CFOs, CTOs and CMOs#

You hold three or four clients at once, each on its own SOW, each renewing on its own date. In Tommos each client is a deal with one timeline: every email, meeting and document in one place, read by the same tommos. A new engagement starts the way the first one did: the inquiry, the call, the proposal, the SOW. Tommo Legal drafts each SOW and NDA from your templates in your Drive, with the scope and price from your estimate. Keep new engagements and renewals in separate pipelines.

Book, Close or Sign: which plan a consultant picks#

  • Book, $299 a month. Tommo SDR answers each inquiry, offers times and books the call. Pick it when you write proposals yourself and like doing it.
  • Close, $599 a month. Adds Tommo Closer: the recap, the proposal from your estimate, and follow-ups until a decision. Pick it when the proposal is where your week runs out.
  • Sign, $899 a month. Adds Tommo Legal: the client’s MSA marked up against your positions, and your SOW, NDA or engagement letter drafted from your templates. Pick it when clients send their own paper.

No seats: when you bring in an associate, they work in the same CRM at the same price. Every plan counts 50 new leads a month (a new person a tommo starts to work) and includes the AI model, so there is no API key and no second bill. A year is 20% off. After your first payment you have 30 days to get all of it back.

Why consultants pick Tommos#

  • Answered the same day, while you are with a client. The form offers times on the spot, and Tommo SDR’s reply waits on your phone for one press. The inquiry that came in during a board prep has its reply before lunch.
  • The proposal goes out while you still remember the call. Tommo Closer writes the recap and the proposal from the transcript and your estimate, then follows up until there is a decision. No more Friday follow-ups that go out on Wednesday.
  • Their paper read before you open it. On Sign, Tommo Legal marks every clause of the client’s MSA that departs from your terms and drafts your SOW from your template. You decide each clause and sign.

Questions consultants ask#

What CRM do independent consultants use?
Many start with a spreadsheet and their inbox, then move to a light CRM such as folk, an all-in-one tool such as Bonsai, or HubSpot's free CRM. Pick by the work you are short of: if it is the reply, the proposal and the follow-up, pick a CRM that writes them. Tommos (tommos.ai) answers each inquiry, books the call, writes the recap and the proposal from your estimate, and reads the client's MSA, from $299 a month.
Is a CRM worth it for a solo consultant?
Set the price against one engagement. If one inquiry a quarter goes cold because you answered it two days late, or one proposal goes out a week after the call, count what that engagement was worth. Close costs $7,188 a year; a $24,000 engagement covers it three times.
What happens to my clients' data?
The tommos run on Claude, a model made by Anthropic, under an agreement that does not let Anthropic train on your data, and Tommos does not train models on it either. For an email from someone who is not yet a contact, Tommos sends a short excerpt to the model to decide whether it is a new sales inquiry. The details are on the privacy page.
Will Tommos write to my current clients?
No. Tommos reads your mailbox to find new leads and leaves your client work alone, and you can list the addresses and domains it never reads. A tommo writes only on the leads and deals it works, and each email waits for your Send until you let it send that kind of email on its own.
Can AI write my consulting proposal?
Yes, from your numbers. Tommo Closer writes the proposal from the discovery call and your estimate, in your words. It never invents a price, a scope or a date: when the estimate is missing, it asks you. For the recap, connect Granola or keep the call transcripts in a Google Drive folder.
Can AI review a client's MSA?
Tommo Legal reads the client's MSA against your positions on liability, payment, IP and law, marks each clause that departs from them, and gives you the wording to send back. A Word file also comes back with the changes tracked in their own document; any other paper gets the memo. Its memo is research, not legal advice. You decide each clause, and a person signs.
What does it cost for one person?
The plan is the price: $299, $599 or $899 a month, with no seats and the AI model included. A year is 20% off. A second person costs nothing more.
What do I need to start?
A Google Workspace account: the tommos write from your Gmail, book on your Google Calendar with a Meet link and keep papers in your Drive. For the recap, connect Granola or keep call transcripts in a Google Drive folder; a Zoom call works once its transcript lands in one of them.
Does Tommos track my hours?
Keep your time tracker for that. Tommos runs the sale, and on Sign the invoices of a won deal: Tommo Closer reads the signed paper, proposes the payment schedule, and sends each invoice through Mercury when it is due.
Can I bring my contacts from another CRM?
Start with the ones you are selling to now. When you sign in with Google, Tommo reads the last 30 days of your email and meetings and opens a record for each conversation still open, up to 50. Add anyone else by hand or through your AI agent over MCP when you mean to work them.
What happens after the 14 days?
You choose a plan. Without one, nothing runs and nothing is sent; your records stay, to read and to export. In the 30 days after your first payment, you can take all of it back with one press in Billing.
