Tommos and Artisan, side by side#
We took each Artisan cell from Artisan’s own pages on Oct 8, 2026; the number after a cell names the page.
| What | Tommos | Artisan |
|---|---|---|
| Who the agent writes to | Only people who came to you: a form, a booking, an email, a meeting | New prospects that Ava finds in 250M+ B2B contacts; also contacts already in your CRM and existing customers12 |
| The first email | Tommo SDR drafts the reply to the inquiry within the hour, in your voice, with times to meet | Ava writes the first email to the prospect from her own research; “autonomous by default”23 |
| Sent from | Your own Gmail address, in the buyer's thread | “In your reps’ names, from your own sending domains”; mailboxes cost extra12 |
| The call booked | On your Google Calendar with a Meet link; follow-ups until they reply | After a positive reply, on Google Calendar or Outlook4 |
| After the call: recap, proposal, contract, invoices | Tommo Closer writes the recap and the proposal from your estimate (Close). Tommo Legal reads the client's MSA against your positions, a memo clause by clause and tracked changes when it is a Word file, and drafts your SOW and NDA; after a won deal, Tommo Closer sends each invoice through your Mercury account (Sign) | Not on Artisan's pages123 |
| CRM | Tommos is the CRM: contacts, deals, pipelines, forms, booking pages | Syncs with HubSpot on Intern; with Salesforce and HubSpot on Team and Scale12 |
| Entry price | Book $299, Close $599, Sign $899 a month, for the whole company. See the plans | Intern $280 a month, or $250 billed annually; Employee $660, or $600 billed annually. Team, Scale and Enterprise: “Pricing scoped on your plan”12 |
| What the price counts | 50 new leads a month on every plan (a new person a tommo starts to work); no seats; the AI model included | Credits: 10K a month on Intern, about 500 people contacted, at about 20 credits a person. Mailboxes and phone numbers billed in dollars; a dialer at $75 a seat a month1 |
| Try it first | 14 days of everything, no card; 30-day money-back on the first payment | 10K credits for 30 days, no card; then the account drops to the Free plan and campaigns pause1 |

One inquiry, from the first email to the paid invoice#
A made-up sale: a 12-person QA firm, and a fintech that writes through the form on its site. The plan that does each step is in parentheses. Each step reaches you as a card: send, change or skip.
- 1
The replyBook
Daniel at Gersana writes: “We need realistic test data without real customer names.” Within the hour, Tommo SDR drafts the reply in your voice, with two questions and two or three open times. You press Send.
- 2
The call bookedBook
Daniel picks Thursday at 9:00 AM ET. The call sits on your Google Calendar with a Meet link. If he goes quiet before that, Tommo SDR follows up inside his working hours.
- 3
The recapClose
After the call, Tommo Closer reads the transcript and writes the recap: masked copies of production for three teams, ready by March.
- 4
The proposalClose
Tommo Closer puts the numbers from your estimate into the proposal: $48,000, 10 weeks. It never invents a price, a scope or a date; when the estimate is missing, it asks you.
- 5
The contractSign
Daniel's legal team sends their MSA. Tommo Legal marks each clause that departs from your positions and drafts your SOW from your template. You strike the liability cap and net 60, keep Delaware law, and sign.
- 6
The invoiceSign
The deal is won. Tommo Closer reads the signed paper, proposes the payment schedule and sends each invoice through Mercury.
You approve every email until you choose otherwise. After twelve approvals in a row of one kind of email with nothing to fix, a tommo asks to send that kind on its own; you switch it on per form, on a paid plan.
What Tommo SDR does · What Tommo Closer does · What Tommo Legal does
Seven weeks of inbound at PFLB#
PFLB, the load testing firm where Tommos began, has run its inbound sale on three tommos since August 20, 2026. In seven weeks the tommos wrote 65 emails to 21 people, each sent on a person’s yes, and booked 10 meetings: see each count on PFLB’s page.
What a year buys, from the public prices#
The arithmetic from each price page, read Oct 8, 2026. Taxes are left out.
| What | Tommos | Artisan |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan | Book: $2,868 billed yearly, or $299 a month with no commitment | Intern: $3,000 billed annually, or $280 a month ($3,360)1 |
| The larger plan | Sign, every step from the reply to the invoice: $8,628 billed yearly, or $899 a month | Employee: $7,200 billed annually, or $660 a month ($7,920)1 |
| Outside the price | Nothing: the AI model, your people and sending from your Gmail are in the plan | Mailboxes and phone numbers; the dialer at $75 a seat a month, or $67 billed annually1 |
| What the price buys | The reply to every inquiry, the call, and on Sign the proposal, the contract and the invoices | Outreach to about 500 new people a month on Intern, about 1,250 on Employee1 |
The two prices pay for different work. Artisan’s credits pay for emails to people who have not heard of you.1, 2 Your Tommos plan pays for the deal with a person who already asked: the reply, the call and, on Sign, the paper and the invoice.
Every Tommos plan counts 50 new leads a month: a new person a tommo starts to work, test records not counted. For a firm that gets 10 to 50 inquiries a month, that covers each of them. At 25 inquiries a month, Book comes to about $12 an inquiry.
Built for a services firm whose buyers come to it#
- Your buyers write to you first. They fill in your form, email you or book a call. Tommo SDR drafts each reply within the hour, in your voice, and books the call while the buyer still remembers writing to you.
- You sell through a call, a proposal and a contract. Tommo Closer writes the recap and the proposal from your estimate and follows up until there is a decision; Tommo Legal reads the client’s MSA against your terms. One record holds the deal from the first email to the paid invoice.
- Your name stays clean. Tommos sends from your own Gmail address, in the buyer’s thread, only to people who came to you. You set up no sending domain, warm up no mailbox and buy no list.
- One price for the company, month to month. A partner or an account lead joins at no cost. No seats, no credits to top up; the plan counts new leads, 50 a month.
- You work from Claude or another AI agent. Your agent signs in once over MCP and works your deals as you.

Answer this week's inquiries this week#

The Tommos form takes your site’s font and color and offers times to meet the moment someone sends it.

Each new inquiry gets a reply in your voice: send, change or skip. Tommo SDR follows up inside each lead's working hours until they answer.

By Friday: calls on your calendar
Booked calls sit on your Google Calendar with a Meet link. On Close, the recap waits for you after each call.
Questions about Artisan and Tommos#
- What does Artisan cost?
- From Artisan's pricing page on Oct 8, 2026: the Free plan gives 300 credits a month and runs no campaigns. Intern is $280 a month, or $250 a month billed annually, for 10K credits, which Artisan puts at about 500 people contacted. Employee is $660 a month, or $600 billed annually, for 25K credits. Mailboxes and phone numbers cost extra, and Team, Scale and Enterprise are priced after a call with sales. Tommos (tommos.ai) is $299, $599 or $899 a month for the whole company, with nothing extra to buy.
- Does Artisan have a free trial?
- Yes. Artisan's pricing page (read Oct 8, 2026) gives a new account 10K credits for 30 days, with no card. If you add no card by the end, the account moves to the Free plan and your campaigns pause. Tommos gives 14 days of every tommo with no card, and your first payment back in full within 30 days if you ask.
- Does Ava answer inbound inquiries?
- Artisan describes Ava as an AI BDR for outbound (artisan.co, read Oct 8, 2026): she finds leads, writes to them and handles their replies. Tommo SDR starts from the inquiry itself: your form, your booking page or your email. It replies from your Gmail, offers times and books the call on your Google Calendar.
- Does Tommos send cold email?
- No. A tommo writes only to people who came to your business: through a form, a booking, an email or a meeting. Each email it drafts goes from your own address to someone who asked.
- What happened between Artisan and LinkedIn?
- TechCrunch reported on January 7, 2026 that LinkedIn banned Artisan's company page and its people's profiles in December 2025. LinkedIn objected to Artisan's use of the LinkedIn name on its site and to data brokers that had scraped LinkedIn without permission. Artisan removed the mentions, checked its data partners, and LinkedIn reinstated it about two weeks later (TechCrunch, read Oct 8, 2026). Tommos holds no contact database: it works the people who wrote to you.
- 11x vs Artisan: what is the difference?
- Both started in outbound: Alice at 11x and Ava at Artisan prospect cold. 11x also sells Julian for inbound leads and bills annually from $3,750 a month. Artisan sells self-serve plans from $250 a month billed annually (11x and Artisan pricing pages, read Oct 8, 2026). For six AI SDRs compared on inbound leads, see our AI SDR comparison.
- Do I have to leave my CRM?
- No. Start your new inquiries in Tommos this week and keep your current CRM for the history it holds. Plans count no seats, so everyone who sells can sign in.
- Will Tommos send emails without me?
- Not at first. Each email is a card, and you send, change or skip it. After twelve approvals in a row of one kind of email with nothing to fix, a tommo asks to send that kind on its own, and you decide per form. That works on a paid plan only.
- What do I need to start?
- A Google Workspace account: the tommos write from your Gmail, book on your Google Calendar with a Meet link and keep papers in your Drive. Outlook is not supported yet.
