The CRM for dev shops that keeps each deal moving while you are in delivery

The inquiry that came in during sprint review has its reply drafted, in your voice, by the time the review ends. The SOW goes out with the numbers from your estimate, and the client’s MSA comes back marked against your terms before your lawyer’s first round. Tommos (tommos.ai) is a CRM whose AI agents, the tommos, do that sales work while you ship, for one price per shop with no seats, from $299 a month. Each step reaches your phone as a card you read in full, change or skip, and you approve every email until you choose otherwise.

14 days of everything, no card.

One dev shop sale in Tommos, from the inquiry to the signed SOW#

An example sale. The shop and the client are made up; the shape is the product’s. Each step reaches you as a card on your phone: an email, a meeting or a document, with Send, Change and Skip. The plan that does each step is in brackets.

  1. 1

    The inquiryBook

Monday, 10:15 AM. You are in a sprint review with your biggest client. Priya, VP of Engineering at Bramble Home, an online furniture store, writes through the form on your site: “Our checkout went down for 40 minutes last Black Friday. Can you load test it and help us fix what breaks before November 27?” The form offers her times to talk on the spot.

  2. 2

    The replyBook

She does not pick a time, so Tommo SDR writes back in your voice: two questions about the checkout’s stack and last year’s peak, and three open times from your Google Calendar. The card on your phone: “Tommo SDR: Send Priya the reply?” You press Send between two demos. If Priya goes quiet, Tommo SDR follows up inside her working hours.

  3. 3

    The callYou

Thursday, 30 minutes on Google Meet. You talk; Tommo Closer reads the transcript.

  4. 4

    The recapClose

An hour later: the card with the recap. Last year’s peak was 2,300 orders an hour, and the target is three times that. The checkout is a Node service on AWS, and Priya and her CFO decide. You promised the proposal by Monday. You change one line and send.

  5. 5

    The SOWSign

Your estimate sheet says a fixed $18,500 for the load test over three weeks, then a fix sprint on time and materials at $165 an hour, up to 160 hours. Tommo Legal drafts the SOW from your template in your Drive with those numbers. You take the draft, and Tommo Closer writes the cover email. The card: “Tommo Closer: Send Priya the SOW?”, with the link to the Google Doc.

  6. 6

    Their MSASign

Bramble’s counsel sends their MSA as a Word file. Tommo Legal reads it against your positions and finds four departures. The client would own your pre-existing load-test scripts, liability is uncapped, payment is net 75, and the non-solicit binds only you. The card: the memo and their MSA with your changes tracked. You strike all four and offer net 45. Tommo Closer sends counsel the redline on your Send.

  7. 7

    The signatureSign

Counsel agrees. Tommo Legal proposes your signature, with every departure from your templates listed on the card. You press Sign, and the copy signed by both sides lands in Bramble’s folder in your Drive.

Sending on its own is off. After twelve approvals in a row of one kind of email with nothing to fix, a tommo asks for it. You switch it on per form, on a paid plan, and switch it off the same way. Tommo Legal writes only to Tommo Closer and to you, never to the client.

What Tommo SDR does · What Tommo Closer does · What Tommo Legal does

Tommo writes the SOW from your estimate and makes up no number#

Your estimate is the one part of the sale only your engineers can do. Tommo takes it from there. Share the sheet or the doc by link, and Tommo Legal drafts the SOW from your template with its scope, price, timeline and hours. Change-order terms and rates come from your template; Tommo writes no new ones. When the deal has no estimate, you get a card asking for its link, and no SOW goes out until you send one.

Three shapes of deal a dev shop sells, each written from your own numbers (the figures are examples):

  • A fixed-price QA or performance project. “Load test the checkout at three times last year’s peak, three weeks, $18,500 fixed, half at the start.”
  • A mobile app build on time and materials. “A React Native app for iOS and Android, about four months, three engineers at a blended $145 an hour, not to exceed $210,000, invoiced monthly.”
  • A cloud migration in two phases. “A two-week assessment at $12,000 fixed, then the move from a colocation rack to AWS on time and materials, scoped in a second SOW.”

Need a mutual NDA before the call? Tommo Legal drafts it from your template too.

HubSpot and Pipedrive price by the seat; Tommos prices by the shop, and its tommos write the reply, the SOW and the MSA markup on each deal inside that price.

Book, Close or Sign: which plan a dev shop picks#

  • Book, $299 a month. Tommo SDR answers each inquiry, offers times and books the discovery call. Pick it when inquiries sit for days and your SOWs already go out on time.
  • Close, $599 a month. Adds Tommo Closer: the recap, the proposal with your numbers, and follow-ups until a decision. Pick it when the estimate is done and the proposal still waits a week.
  • Sign, $899 a month. Adds Tommo Legal: the client’s MSA marked up against your positions, and your SOW, MSA and NDA drafted from your templates, and after a won deal Tommo Closer’s invoices through Mercury. Pick it when enterprise clients send their own paper. Month to month it costs $10,788 a year; one $18,500 load test pays for it.

No seats: your engineers, PMs and the partner who sells work in the same CRM at the same price. Every plan counts 50 new leads a month (a new person a tommo starts to work) and includes the AI model, so you need no API key and get no second bill. A year is 20% off. After your first payment you have 30 days to get all of it back.

Why dev shop founders pick Tommos#

  • New business moves while you are in delivery. Tommo SDR answers the inquiry from your site, Clutch or a referral, books the discovery call and follows up, and each reply waits on your phone for one press.
  • The SOW starts from your estimate, not a blank page. Tommo Legal drafts it from your template with your scope, price, timeline and hours, fixed price or time and materials, and makes up no number.
  • Every client MSA read against the same positions. IP in your pre-existing code, the liability cap, net terms, non-solicit: Tommo Legal marks each departure with the wording to send back, so your lawyer reviews a markup that is already done.

Questions dev shop founders ask#

What's the best CRM for a small software development agency that gets inbound inquiries?
The one that does the sales work while you are in delivery: the reply, the SOW and the MSA. Tommos (tommos.ai) answers each inquiry, books the discovery call, writes the recap and the SOW from your estimate, and reads the client's MSA, from $299 a month with no seats.
We're a 15-person dev shop. Can a tool reply to new inquiries and book discovery calls automatically?
Yes. Tommo SDR reads each inquiry from your site's form, your booking page or your inbox, writes the reply in your voice, and offers open times from your Google Calendar with a Meet link. Each reply waits on a card for your Send until you let Tommo SDR send that kind on its own. After twelve clean approvals of one kind, you can let it send that kind on its own.
What sales tools does an IT services company need to go from an inbound lead to a signed contract?
Most shops stitch together a CRM, a scheduling link, a proposal tool and an e-signature service, and the founder carries the deal between them. Tommos runs those steps in one place: the reply and the call booked, the recap and the SOW from your estimate, the client's MSA marked against your positions, and your signature placed on the final PDF when you press Sign. Keep your e-signature tool for the client's side: when a client sends a DocuSign envelope, you sign there, and on Sign, once the deal is won, Tommo Closer invoices from the signed paper through Mercury.
Can AI write a statement of work?
From your estimate, yes, on Sign. Tommo Legal drafts the SOW from your template, with the scope, price, timeline and hours your estimate holds. It never makes up a price, a scope or a date. Without an estimate on the deal, it asks you for one, and no SOW goes out.
Does it handle time and materials as well as fixed price?
Yes. The SOW carries whatever your estimate says: a fixed price with milestones, hourly rates with a cap, or a fixed discovery phase followed by time and materials.
Will Tommos write to my current clients?
No. Tommos reads your mailbox to find new leads and leaves your client work alone, and you can list the addresses and domains it never reads. A tommo writes only on the leads and deals it works.
What happens to our clients' data?
The tommos run on Claude, a model made by Anthropic, under an agreement that does not let Anthropic train on your data, and Tommos does not train models on it either. Your SOWs and MSAs stay in your own Google Drive. Our staff do not read your mail unless you ask us to for support, security needs it, or the law requires it. Ask privacy@tommos.ai and we delete the Google data we hold about you within 30 days. The details are on the privacy page.
What do I need to start?
A Google Workspace account: the tommos write from your Gmail, book on your Google Calendar with a Meet link and keep SOWs and MSAs in your Drive. For the recap, connect Granola or keep call transcripts in a Google Drive folder; a Zoom call works once its transcript lands there. Sign in with Google, and Tommo opens a record for each conversation still open from the last 30 days, up to 50, so there is nothing to import first.
What happens after the 14 days?
You choose a plan. Without one, nothing runs and nothing is sent; your records stay, to read and to export. In the 30 days after your first payment, you can take all of it back with one press in Billing.
